Gloria Harris
I was introduced to yoga twenty plus years ago, having “failed” a flexibility assessment at the local health club I joined to stay healthy and relieve stress. They had a yoga class that was starting a beginner series and my trainer strongly suggested I sign up, so I did. The first few classes felt awkward, there was breathing, chanting and moving in ways I never thought about. I stuck with it despite my reservations, but I soon realized that I was looking forward to those classes. I liked the feeling that I got after each practice, a subtle feeling of calm and spaciousness in my body and mind.
Kris Jensen
Kris has been a yoga student since 1990, and a Viniyoga instructor since 2000. With a background in business and Corporate America, Kris came to yoga through physical problems brought on by job stress and years of ballet training as a teenager and young adult.
While working through her physical issues, Kris was gradually drawn to the larger yoga philosophies and teachings. Becoming an instructor was a natural way for her to share the discoveries that helped her. Inspired by her students, Kris loves continuing to learn and share her insights (and pitfalls) with her students so they may learn, grow, and incorporate yoga into their daily lives.
Kris, her husband and their pets enjoy their cabin in the woods outside of Redmond .
